When approached to design the artwork for this feature wall on a residential rental-primary mid-rise in the Kitsilano neighbourhood of Vancouver, it was very important that the artwork be a depiction any local to the area would immediately recognize. Building on the architecture's theme of beach sand, with the brick design, the Ombrae mural showcases the iconic shoreline of Burrard Inlet facing east towards the city's skyline. Conceived as a diptych, views are optimized for observers heading north and south, on each respective side.
